steps of construction

Step-by-step explanation:

we can't construct 160° degree angle with a compass , only we can draw angle of multiple of 15. I.e., 15°, 30°, 45°, 90°, ..... . but for 80°, 140°, 160° .... are not divisible by 15° so we can't draw it accurately with help of compass that's why we have protractor.

using protractor we draw a angle of 160 and dividing it into four equal parts:

steps:

1. Construct  POQ = 160°.

2. With O as centre and any (suitable) radius, draw an arc to meet OP at R and OQ at S.

3. With R as centre and radius more than half of RS, draw an arc. Also, with S as centre and same radius draw another arc to meet the previous arc at B.

4. Join OB and produce it.

5. Let SR intersect OB at T.

6. With S and T as centre and radius more than half of ST, draw an arcs. Let them intersect at A.

7. With R and T as centre and radius more than half of RT, draw an arcs. Let them intersect at C.
