Angle of 60°.

STEPS OF CONSTRUCTION :

  • Draw a base line BC of 5 cm.
  • Draw a right angle ABC means 90° perpendicular to the BC.
  • Take a compass and fix on the point B and mark the point taking more than half distance on A and C.
  • The new points on the ray A and C be P and Q.
  • Taking P as a point, draw an arc and Taking Q as point draw an arc which is intersecting the point p.
  • Now point of new intersection formed be O.
  • Join B and O.
  • We get the angle of 45° which is equal to half of 90°.
  • Apply the same steps to find the angle between 45° and that angle will be of 60°.
  • Hence, The 60° angle is formed.
  • Therefore, ∠OBC = 60°.
