The main difference between Ubuntu and Windows is the Taskbar.
In Windows, there exists a single taskbar.
While in Ubuntu there are panels.
In other words, you may have as many task bars you desire.
By default, there are two but you may easily increase the number as desired. You may even get rid of the ones that are already present.
There is no need of a Quick Launch toolbar as you may easily include application launchers right on a panel.
