Answer:

ice cubes will melt more faster in hot water as it has high temperature as the temperature increases kinetic energy also increases .same with chocolate when we put it out it will start melting because of high temperature and increasing of kinetic energy .

Thanku g.

Answer:

Just like ice cube chocolate melts faster in hot water.

Explanation:

Ice cube in hot water melts faster due to the greater temperature difference between the two mediums. Diffusion starts taking place from the cold ice cube to the hot water. As the ice cube would want it stabilize its temperature according to the hot water kinetic energy arises and melting occurs.

But, since their is less temperature difference between the ice cube and cold water. No kinetic energy or little will arise hence less diffusion is likely to take place.

Similarly the concepts above occur with a piece of chocolate in hot water would melt faster due temperature difference arising kinetic energy and diffusion taking place. While chocolate in cold water is less likely to melt due its lower temperature medium i.e cold water.
