P-V and Q-V curves are used to analyze steady state voltage stability which is the stability of the power system in normal operation. The performance of the power system when subjected to disturbances is studied with the help of dynamic stability criteria.

Voltage stability of a system can be assessed using P-V and Q-V curves [4,5]. The margins of real and reactive power are computed using these curves. Initially NR method is used to solve the load flow problem to obtain the base case values.
