Draw and explain the structure and function od nucleus ??
Answers
Answer:
NUCLEUS:
A prominent nucleus occurs in eukaryotic cells.prokaryotic cells do not contain prominent nucleus.
Location:
In animal cell itis present in the centre while in mature plant cells ,due to the formation of large vacuole ,it is pushed to side.
Nuclear envelope:
The nucleus is bounded by a double membrane known as nuclear enveolpe.nuclear envelope contains small pores that enable it to act as a seni permiable membrane.
Nucleoplam:
Inside nuclear envelope a granular fluid ,nucleoplasm,is present.
Nucleoli:
The nucleoli contains one or two nucleoli and chromosomes.
The nucleolous is a dark spot and it is the site where rribosomal RNA are formed and assembled as ribosomes.
Structure of nucleus:
The main structures making up the nucleus are the nuclear envelope, a double membrane that encloses the entire organelle and isolates its contents from the cellular cytoplasm; and the nuclear matrix (which includes the nuclear lamina), a network within the nucleus that adds mechanical support.
Function of nucleus:
The nucleus has very important roles to play. As it contains genetic material, it coordinates cell activities like protein synthesis and cell division.
