2. place the tip of compass on point A and draw a circle cutting the segment AB at C.

3. without changing the width of compass place the tip on C, and draw an arc cutting the circle at D.

4. with the same width of compass, place the tip on D, and draw an arc cutting the circle at E.

5. let the circle intersect the produced BCA at F,

6. now from the point E draw an arc in the same side of CF.

7. now with the same width as in step 6, draw an arc to cut the arc of step 6 at P.

8. join PA.

thus angle PAB is the required angle.
