Given : closed figure in the 1 st quadrant

To Find :  mirror images of the same figures in the remaining 3 quadrants

Solution:

Lets draw  a circle

(x - 2)² + ( y - 2)²  = 1²

Center coordinates = ( 2 , 2)

radius = 1

image of 1 st quadrant in 2nd Quadrant  

y axis acts as mirror   x image = -x  and  y image = y

Hence center  in 2nd Quadrant = (-2 , 2)

Circle is   ( x + 2)² + ( y - 2)²  = 1²

image of 1st quadrant in 4th Quadrant  

x axis acts as mirror   x image =  x  and  y image = - y

Hence center  in 2nd Quadrant = ( 2 , -2)

Circle is   ( x - 2)² + ( y + 2)²  = 1²

image of 1st quadrant in 3rd  Quadrant  

reflection wrt origin

  x image =  -x  and  y image = - y

Hence center  in 2nd Quadrant = ( 2 , -2)

Circle is   ( x + 2)² + ( y + 2)²  = 1²
