1.protective layer of heart is called pericardium

2.As the heart pumps blood, a series of valves open and close tightly. These valves ensure that blood flows in only one direction, preventing backflow. The tricuspid valve is situated between the right atrium and right ventricle. The pulmonary valve is between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery.

3.The pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle into the lungs for oxygenation. The pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood from the lungs into the left atrium where it is returned to systemic circulation. The aorta is the largest artery in the body.
