Amoeba ingest food by the process of phagocytosis. Phagocytosis is done initially by putting the push out of the numerous pseudopodia through which it engulfed the food. Then slowly and slowly the food moves inward towards the nuclei of the amoeba and digested by the secretion of various enzyme which are manufactured in the cell of the amoeba.
