To Draw:

Graphs showing the distribution of charge in a capacitor and current through an inductor during LC oscillation with respect to time.

Concept:

First , let's talk about LC oscillations :

In this type of Oscillation , L stands for Inductor and C stands for Capacitor.

When a charged capacitor is connected in a circuit along with an inductor, the charge of the capacitor and the electric current undergoes a periodic oscillation.

Since , this is a periodic oscillation it follows a definite frequency and a time period.

It is seen that whenever the charge on the capacitor is maximum the current in the circuit is minimum and vice versa.

Mathematical equations:

At resonance , the frequency of oscillation will be given by :

 \boxed{ \sf{f =  \dfrac{1}{2\pi \sqrt{LC} } }}

Index for Graph:

  • White line : Charge => q(t)

  • Green line : Current => i(t)
