Food is engulfed this process is called ingestion ..

It is passed to stomach where gastric juices are present which kills harmful bacteria . Then bile juice act on it and make the food alkaline so that pancreatic juice can act on it . And it emulsifies the fat .

The food is passed to small intestine where complete digestion of food take place that is in small intestine food is converted into soluble form by pancreatic juice

Then that food is absorbed by villi which is finger like projection present in the wall of stomach which is richly supplied with blood vessels

Then that food is assimilated to body

The remaining food material is passed to large intestine where water salt and important minerals are absorbed .

And the other mater which is not required by our body is ejected out
