❶Draw a line PQ of any length. I have taken PQ as 8 cm here.

❷. You need not take any point. If so, you can take the midpoint of the line, because this is where you get the point R after construction.

❸ Take a compass and take the radius to be more than half, but less than full; a kind of 3/4.

❹ Keep the compass on point P and draw an arc above and below the same line.

❺ Keep the compass on point Q and draw an arc above and below the same line PQ.

❻ Both the arcs intersect at two points S and T, above and below the line respectively. Join both the arcs.

  • therefore perpendicular bisector RS to the line PQ!!!
