magnification , m = h1 / h2 = - v / u where

h1 = size of image

h2 = size of object

since , m = - 2

=> h1 / h2 = 2

( - sign indicates the nature of image , which shows image is real and inverted)

=> h1 = 2 × h2

=> size of image = 2 × size of object

Also , m = -2 => - v / u = -2 => v = 2u

image distance = 2 × object distance
