Given:

Length of PQ is 7 cm  

To Find:

Divide it in ratio 3:2

Solution:

Refer the attached figure:

Let O be the point  

Let the ratio be x  

So,PO = 3x

OQ = 2x

So, PO+OQ=PQ

3x+2x=7

5x=7

$x=\frac{7}{5}$

So,PO=$3 \times \frac{7}{5}=4.2 cm$

OQ=$2 \times \frac{7}{5}=2.8 cm$

Hence The length of PO is 4.2 cm and length of OQ is 2.8 cm
