Check that x = 1, y = 4

and x = 2, y = 2

are the solutions of the given equation.

So,

the graph is in the attached image.

We draw the graph by plotting the two points of the above table and then by joining the same.

We find from the graph that

x = -1, y = 8

and

x = 4, y = -2

are the solutions.

Verification :

Putting x = -1, y = 8 in LHS of the equation.

2 × (-1) + 8 = 6 = RHS

Putting x = 4 and y = (-2) in LHS equation.

2 × (4) + (-2) = 6 = RHS

The line meets the x axis at (3,0) and y axis at (6,0)
