First, you need to look for the Big Dipper (spoon shaped formation) in the night sky. Try to locate it around the Polaris (Pole Star).
Once located, confirm it by drawing an imaginary line that extends from the head of the spoon (*where the stars Dubhe and Merak are present*) to the Polaris which will confirm that you’ve identified the right Asterism. (An asterism is a part of Constellation, like Big Dipper in the Great Bear)

But the search is not over, identifying the whole constellation is a bit tricky and you’ve to form an imaginary shape like this :
I remember the shape by a trouser where Big Dipper is a pocket at right.
