It was launched on 2nd October in order to honor Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a Clean India. The cleanliness campaign of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was run on a national level and encompassed all the towns, rural and urban. Objectives of Swachh Bharat Mission

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan set a lot of objectives to achieve so that India could become cleaner and better. In addition, it not only appealed the sweepers and workers but all the citizens of the country. This helped in making the message reach wider. It aims to build sanitary facilities for all households. One of the most common problems in rural areas is that of open defecation. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aims to eliminate that.

Moreover, the Indian government intends to offer all the citizens with hand pumps, proper drainage system, bathing facility and more. This will promote cleanliness amongst citizens.

Generally, in these areas, people do not have proper toilet facilities. They go out in the fields or roads to excrete. This practice creates a lot of hygiene problems for citizens. Therefore, this Clean India mission can be of great help in enhancing the living conditions of these people.

Explanation: The States of Andhra Pradesh and Punjab share many similarities and both  the States lean a lot from each other by mutual interaction  centred on knowing about  each other’s culture, history and tradition.

Like several folk dances in Andhra Pradesh, there are a good number of folk dances in Punjab, each with their own colorful history and unique style. The Bhangra is a folk dance and music that originated from Punjab. Originally  Bhangra  was performed by the farmers of the region to welcome the harvest season. The dance  has witnessed incredible evolution and has been popularized even in  the West.

The culture of Andhra Pradesh is an integral part Gadwal, Venkatagiri, Pedana,Bandarulanka,  Uppada and Mangalairi,  the exclusive metal ware, brass, stone and wood carving from Budithi  in Srikaklulam District and  Veenas from Bobbili  and colourful toys from Etikoppaka and  Kondapalli highlight the immense talent of the Andhra craftsmen.  Har Mohinder Singh Sahni, a Social worker and senior citizen from Punjab who resides in Vijayawada says, that there are so many similarities of celebrations between Andhra and Punjab.  

I would like to present before you the culture of Andhra along with the culture of Punjab , the similarity between the celebrations of the festivals of both the States.  In Andhra Pradesh, we  people celebrate  Bhogi  Festival.  In Bhogi Festival early morning, we people gather the wood and put a wood fire in the open place and this is worshipped. Where as in North India particularly in Punjab, it is called Lohri Festival.

In the  evening time, the people of the area gathered together and they put a very big bon-fire and the newly wedded couples along with the newly-born daughters and sons of those they take a pre Karma around the fire God as well as they distribute a variety of sweets on this particular day. It is celebrated in the evening hours in Punjab,  Where it is celebrated in the early morning hours in Andhra Pradesh.

Yes, there are so many similarities between Andhra Pradesh and Punjab States and they both celebrate several festivals together.
