Details on sarcomere of skeletal muscle :
1. The segment of a myofibril from one band named Z to the other Z band is called sarcomere.
2. In sarcomere, we can see special arrangements of proteins called filaments of actin and myosin.
3. The I band present in the contractile unit called sarcomere possess only the filaments of actin.
4. The A band of sarcomere has both the filaments of myosin as well as actin.
5. And the H band of sarcomere has only filaments of myosin.
6. Z line of the sarcomere is the membrane to which the filament of actin is attached to the both sides.
