Procedure:

• Prepare 5% solution of each: Sodium sulphate and Barium chloride.

• Take little amount of sodium sulphate in a conical flask and a little solution of barium chloride in an ignition tube.

.Hang the ignition tube in the conical flask as shown in the figure below.

•Put cork on the flask. Weigh the flask.

•Now, mix well the two solutions.

• Weigh the flask once again.

Observation :

•Chemical reaction is observed.

•Weight of the flask remains unchanged before and after the reaction

Conclusion :

• Total mass of the products = Total mass of the reactants.

Hence, Law of conservation of mass is proved.

Draw the diagram

Step 1: Take a flask and take a mixture of sodium hydroxide solution and copper sulphate solution.

Step 2: Weight the flask and note it.

Step 3: Now mix the whole mixture thoroughly.

Step 4: Now, weight the flask.

We will observe that after mixing there is no change in the mass.
