The Position of object does not change with the time, so for the Distance – Time graph of a stationary object is line parallel to the time axis as shown in the attachement.

Additional information-

  • Stationary Object- simply an object is not moving.
  • In graph when object is not moving so it will not cover any distance so here the disrance= 0.
  • same as for the time, or we can say it is constant.
