Answer:
- The diagram of various type of cells present in the human body is attached in the form of an image.
- Mind map is also attached in the form of an image.
Diagram of nucleus is also attached in the form of an image.
(A) Nuclear envelope -
The nuclear envelope is a double-layered membrane that encloses the contents of the nucleus during most of the cell's lifecycle. The outer nuclear membrane is continuous with the membrane of the rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER), and like that structure, features numerous ribosomes attached to the surface.
(B) Chromatin -
Chromatin is visible as entangled mass of thread like structures. Chromatin is a complex of macro-molecule found in cells, consisting of DNA, protein and RNA. In a cell which is not dividing, this DNA is present as a part of chromatin material.
(C) Nucleoli -
One or more darkly staining spherical bodies called the nucleoli are found inside the nucleus. These are the sites at which ribosomes are assembled. Nucleoli are most prominent in cells that are synthesising large amounts of protein. The small darkly staining granules are chromatin (chromosomes).
- Differentiate the following :
(A) The cytoplasm is found in all the cells while nucleoplasm is found only in eukaryotic cells. The cytoplasm is the fluid mass of the cell consisting of organelles whereas nucleoplasm is the sap of the nucleus that contains nucleoplasm.
(B) Major structural differences between a plant and an animal cell include: Plant cells have a cell wall, but animals cells do not. Cell walls provide support and give shape to plants. Plant cells have chloroplasts, but animal cells do not.
(C) The primary distinction between these two types of organisms is that eukaryotic cells have a membrane-bound nucleus and prokaryotic cells do not.In prokaryotes, DNA is bundled together in the nucleoid region, but it is not stored within a membrane-bound nucleus.
- Lipids are synthesized in the Smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER), and the proteins are synthesized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER).
- The diagram of mitochondria is attached in the form of an image.
