In order to solve the linear equation in two variables we will apply elimination method.

Therefore, applying elimination method for the given equation

9x - 3y = -5 .......... e.q. 1

2x + 3y = -4 .......... e.q. 2

-----------------

11x = -9

x = -9/11 ........... e.q. 3

Putting the value of e.q. 3 in e.q. 1

9(-9/11) - 3y = -5

-81/11 -3y = -5

-3y = -5 + (81/11)

-3y = (-55 + 81)/11

-3y = 26/11

y = 26/11 * (-1/3)

y = -26/33
