step1 :- draw it's vertex ( 1 , 3)
-b/2a = -(-4)/2×2 = 1
-D/4a = -(-24)/4×2 = 3
step2 :- find D = b² - 4ac = (4)²-4×2×5 = -24 hence, there is no any real root possible of 2x² -4x + 5 , hence graph never touch or intersect of X-axis .
step3 :- here a=2 > 0 so, graph above the X- axis . and symmetrical about -b/2a = 1
