Notes on exine and tube nucleus is provided below :

(i) Exine

In a pollen grain, there is the presence of an outer layer which is very tough or hard. This layer is known as exine.

This layer is composed of a very resistant organic matter which is named as sporopollenin.

Because of the presence of this organic matter, pollen grains cannot be destroyed even at high temperatures.

(ii) Tube nucleus

In a microspore, two nuclei are formed by the process of mitosis division. One nucleus among these two is termed as tube nucleus.
