To draw:

Graph between:

  • Kinetic Energy and Velocity (mass is constant)

  • Kinetic Energy and mass (Velocity is constant)

Solution:

Kinetic Energy is a type of mechanical energy possessed by a body by the virtue of its motion. Mathematically, it can be calculated as follows:

 \boxed{ \sf{KE =  \dfrac{1}{2} m {v}^{2} }}

1st case (Mass is constant):

For constant mass, kinetic energy is directly proportional to square of the velocity of the object.

 \boxed{ \sf{KE   \: \propto \:  {v}^{2} }}

Hence , the graph will be parabolic.

2nd case (Velocity is constant):

For constant velocity, kinetic energy is directly proportional to the mass of the object.

 \boxed{ \sf{KE   \: \propto \:  m}}

Hence graph will be a linear straight line passing through origin.
