The first equation is

x - y = 8

=> y = x - 8 _____ (i)

Putting x = 0 in (i), we get y = - 8

Putting x = 8 in (i), we get y = 0

Now, we plot these points on graph and join them to draw straight line.

The second equation is

3x - 3y = 16

=> 3y = 3x -16

=> y =

 \frac{3x - 6}{3}

Putting x = 2 in (ii), we get

y =

 \frac{ - 10}{3}  =  - 3.33

Putting x = 0 in (ii), we get

 \frac{ - 16}{3}  =  - 5.33
