In order to plot graph for y=2mx+c , we will first put the given values of m and c in the equation, after putting m= 3 and c=1 we will get

y=2*3x+1

y=6x+1

Now we will find the coordinate of equation in order to plot the graph

Step1 : Lets find value of y, by putting x to 0.

lets solve for y:

y=6*0+1

y=1

(y intercept is 1)

This means graph of equation intersects x axis at coordinate (0,1)

Step2 :Now we will find value of x in similar way

Lets put y=0 in given equation

0=6x+1

lets subtract both sides by 1

0-1=6x+1-1

-1=6x

x=-1/6(x intercept is -1/6)

This means graph of equation intersects x axis at coordinate (-1/6,0)

When we put x=2 in equation y=6x+1

y=6(2)+1

y=13
