Draw the graph of 3x + y = 6.At what points, does the graph intersect the axes? Also find the area of triangle formed and two axes.

3x+y=6
y=6-3x
when y=0
0=6-3x
x=2

when x=0
y=6-3x
y=6-0
y=6


hence line will cut at (2,0) and (0,6) on x and y axis respectively and area will be

1/2*6*2
=6 sq. unit
