Draw the graph of the equation 2x – 3y – 5 = 0. From the graph, find:

i) y1, the value of y, when x = 12

ii) y2, the value of y, when x = - 6.

y1 2(12) - 3y - 5=0
24 - 3y - 5 = 0
19 - 3y = 0
3y = -19
y = -19/3
y= 6.3

y2= 2(-6) - 3y - 5 = 0
-12 - 3y -5 = 0
-17 -3y =0
-3y = 17
y = 17/3
y = 5.6
