Given,

Equation: 3x + 2y = 12

To Find,

The point at which the given line cut the x-axis and y axis=?

Solution,

The equation of the line is 3x + 2y = 12

When this line will intersect with the x-axis then its y coordinate will be zero.

Therefore, putting y = 0 in the equation,

3x + 2*0 = 12

3x = 12

x = 12/3

x = 4

The point at which this line will intersect the x-axis is (4,0)

Similarly, when this line will intersect with the y-axis then its x coordinate will be zero.

Therefore, putting x = 0 in the equation,

3*0 + 2y = 12

2y = 12

y = 12/2

y = 6

The point at which this line will intersect the y-axis is (0,6)

Hence, (4,0) and (0,6) are the points at which the line with equation 3x + 2y = 12 will cut the x-axis and y-axis.
