EXPLANATION.

Graph of the equation.

⇒ 3x + 2y = 13.

As we know that,

Put the value of x = 0 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 3(0) + 2y = 13.

⇒ 2y = 13.

⇒ y = 13/2.

⇒ y = 6.5.

Their Co-ordinates = (0,6.5).

Put the value of y = 0 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 3x + 2(0) = 13.

⇒ 3x = 13.

⇒ x = 13/3.

⇒ x = 4.33.

Their Co-ordinates = (4.33,0).

To find value of x when y = 5.

Put the value of y = 5 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 3x + 2y = 13.

⇒ 3x + 2(5) = 13.

⇒ 3x + 10 = 13.

⇒ 3x = 13 - 10.

⇒ 3x = 3.

⇒ x = 1.
