Draw the graph of the equation 3x – 4y = 12. From the graph, find (i) the value of y when x = – 4 (ii) the value of x when y = 3 plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The graph of  3x – 4y = 12 is :

(see the picture attached below)

(i) Condition :   if x = – 4 then value of y = ?

Here, put x = -4 in the equation 3x – 4y = 12  

So we get the following :

3(-4) - 4y = 12

-12 - 4y = 12

-12 - 12 = 4y

24 = 4y

Therefore, y = 6  

(ii) Condition :   if y = 3 then value of x = ?

Here, put x = -4 in the equation 3x – 4y = 12  

So we get the following :

3x - 4 (3) = 12

3x - 12 = 12

3x = 12 + 12

3x = 24

x = 24/3

Therefore, x = 8
