Draw the graph of the equation x-2y=3
From the graph find
The solution of (x,y) where x=-5
The solution of (x,y) where y=0

Answer:

x−2y=3

When x=0,y=−3/2;

y=0,x=3

(i) When x=5, 5−2y=3

⇒y=1

∴ The coordinate is (5,1).

(ii) When y=0,x−0=3

⇒x=3

∴ Coordinate is (3,0).

(iii) when x=0, -2y=3

y=-3/2

so Coordinate is (0,-3/2)
