SOLUTION:

As we are given in the question,

The value of m is given as 3 in the question.

The value of x is given as 2 in the question.

Also, the equation of slope is given as,

y= mx+ c

So putting the values as given in the question into the equation of slope,

y = 3×2+ (-1)

y= 6-1

y= 5

Therefore,

The required value is 5.

And the required point on the cartesian plane will be (x,y) = (2,5).
