Draw the graph of the following equation 2(x + 1) = 3 (y –1) –4 and check whether the point (3, -1) lies on the line

Answer:

2(x+1) = 3(y-1)-4

2x+2 = 3y-3-4

2x-3y = -7-2

2x-3y = -9

Verification:-

2(3) -3(-1) =-9

6 +3 =9

9 is not equal to -9

so, the given point doesn't lie on its graph.
