EXPLANATION.

Graph of linear equation.

⇒ 3x + y - 5 = 0. - - - - - (1).

⇒ 2x - y - 5 = 0. - - - - - (2).

As we know that,

From equation (1), we get.

⇒ 3x + y - 5 = 0. - - - - - (1).

Put the value of x = 0 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 3(0) + y - 5 = 0.

⇒ y - 5 = 0.

⇒ y = 5.

Their Co-ordinates = (0,5).

Put the value of y = 0 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 3x + (0) - 5 = 0.

⇒ 3x - 5 = 0.

⇒ 3x = 5.

⇒ x = 5/3.

⇒ x = 1.66.

Their Co-ordinates = (1.66,0).

From equation (2), we get.

⇒ 2x - y - 5 = 0. - - - - - (2).

Put the value of x = 0 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 2(0) - y - 5 = 0.

⇒ - y - 5 = 0.

⇒ - y = 5.

⇒ y = - 5.

Their Co-ordinates = (0,-5).

Put the value of y = 0 in the equation, we get.

⇒ 2x - (0) - 5 = 0.

⇒ 2x - 5 = 0.

⇒ 2x = 5.

⇒ x = 5/2.

⇒ x = 2.5.

Their Co-ordinates = (2.5,0).

Both curves intersects at a point = (2,-1).
