Draw the graph of the polynomial f(x) = x(square) – 2x – 8.

 {x}^{2}  - 2x - 8  = 0 \\  \\  {x}^{2} - 4x + 2x - 8 = 0 \\  \\ x( x - 4) + 2(x - 4) = 0 \\  \\ (x + 2)(x - 4) = 0

Here two zeroes of polynomial are -2 and 4

so, the parabola of given quadratic polynomial will cut the x- axis at -2 and 4 .

Now,

since,

coefficient of x^2 is positive so parabola drawn will be upward.

Now we can draw the graph
