x+2y =6
when y=-1
x+2(-1)=6
x-2=6
x=6+2
x=8

if x = 0

then 0+ 2y = 6

y  = 6/2 = 3

If y = -1

x + -2 = 6

x = 4

Now we got (0,3)  and (8,-1)

Now draw x and y axis like plus(+) on a graph paper. First find  x as zero and y as 3. Zero comes in the middle point. from there take 3 in y axis. mark there a dot and likewise 8 on x axis and -1(downwards) on y axis and mark a dot on the meeting point. Draw a line from one dot to other dot. Then write on the side of line x + 2y = 6

I hope you understood now
