Step-by-step explanation:

Given:x-2y=1

To find:Draw the graph and also find the point where it touches X-axis (Write it's coordinate) ?

Solution:

To draw the graph find two points at least

1) Put x= 0

x - 2y = 1 \\ \\ 0 - 2y = 1 \\ \\ - 2y = 1 \\ \\ y = \frac{ - 1}{2} \\ \\ y = - 0.5 \\ \\

Point A(0,-0.5)

2) Put y= 0

x - 2y = 1 \\ \\ x - 2(0) = 1 \\ \\ x = 1 \\ \\

Point B(1,0)

Draw the graph:

Draw coordinate axes and mark these points and join them straight.

Graph is attached.

The point where the line touches x-axis is point B.

Coordinates of point B(1,0)
