Answer:

Vertex of ∆ABC

A(2.8,1.2)

B(1,0)

C(4,0)

ar(∆ABC)=1.8 sq-unit

Step-by-step explanation:

To draw the graph representing the equations x + y = 4 and 2x – 3y= 2 on the same graph paper.

Write the co-ordinates of the point

of intersection of these lines and find the area of triangle formed

by these line and X - axis.

Step1: Draw line individually by taking different value of x and finding value of y and join the points to draw lines.

Step2: ∆ABC,while taking third side as x-axis

A(2.8,1.2)

B(1,0)

C(4,0)

Step3: Finding area of ∆ABC

 \frac{1}{2} \times BC \times height \\ \\ = \frac{1}{2} \times 3 \times 1.2 \\ \\ = 3 \times 0.6 \\ \\ = 1.8 \: {unit}^{2} \\ \\

Since height of triangle is y-coordinate of vertex A.

Base = difference of x-coordinates of BC

Hope it helps you.
