2y - 0 + 4 = 0 We subtract 4 from both sides: 2y = -4 and dividing by 2 we get y = -2, so we have (0,-2), this is the y-intercept. Now we plot the points and connect them. The resulting line represents all the x,y combinations that work in the given equation.

Check that,

x = 2 and y = -1

x - 2y = 4

LHS = 2 - 2(-1)

       = 2 + 2 = 4 = RHS

∴ LHS = RHS

and

x = 3 and y = -0.5

x - 2y = 4

LHS = (3) - 2(-0.5)

       = 3 + 1 = 4 = RHS

∴ LHS = RHS

they are the solutions of the given equation.

So,

we draw the graph using above table.
