The area of the triangle is 10 units

Step-by-step explanation:

here ,

the given equations are

2x - y = 2 and 4x + 3y =24

plotting the points for the eqautions

2x - y = 2

for x= 4 we get y =4

coordinate = (3,4)

for x = 1 y = 0

coordinate = (1,0)

for x = 0 y = -2

coordinate = (0,-2)

now ,

4x + 3y =24 plotting the points

for x = 0 y = 8

coordinate = (0,8)

for x = 3 y = 4

coordinate = (3,4)

for x = 6 y = 0

coordinate = (6,0)

now, plotting these points on the graph paper

tehe graph is shown below ,

it is observed from the graph

that the area of traingle formed

base of the triangle = 5 units

and height of the triangle = 4 units

then ,

area of triangle = \frac{1}{2}\times base\times height

= \frac{1}{2}\times 5\times 4

= 10 units

hence ,

The area of the triangle is 10 units
