Air enters through the external nostrils and goes through nasopharynx - pharynx and then from the trachea enters the bronchus and through the bronchial tree enters the respiratory tree. In respiratory tree alveoli is present where the exchange of gases takes place the oxygen is transferred to the blood via capillaries and co2 is taken and removed out through external nostrils.
