3x-4y=12

it can also be written as ,

3x-12=4y                  ................................(1)

=> dividing (1) by 4 throughout, we get:

(3/4)x-3=y

compare the above obtained equation with the well known equation

in this case,

m=3/4

c=  (-3)

a) it cuts the x axis at the co-ordinate (4,0)

simple,

3x-12=4y

put y=0 to find where it cuts the x axis...
