When a point charge  +q is taken will have the different property.

  • Here the property of induction came into work.
  • As we know that conducting plate is uncharged when we place a +q charge near it, this will going to put the charge on the plate.
  • But the charge on the plate will be opposite to that of the charge near to it.
  • It means the -ve charge will be induced on the conducting plate.
  • Then we know that +q charge field lines are plotted inwards to  conducting plate.
  • I am attaching the picture of the field lines.
