The solenoid is a coil with many turns where the wire is wrapped closely to form the shape of a cylinder.
- The cylindrical shape is the solenoid device.
- And coil is wrapped with a number of turns around the cylindrical shape.
- When a current passed through this device, and then the magnetic field lines inside act parallelly and form a closed-loop outside.
- So uniform magnetic field is the pattern of field lines.
- The main purpose of the solenoid is to act as electromagnet.
