Draw the ray diagram to show the formation of image by a convex lens when

In the attached diagram,

★ The object is placed between 2F₁ and F₁

★ The image is formed beyond 2F₂

★ The image is highly enlarged, real and inverted.

Extra points

  • The object is always placed towards the left of the mirror.
  • There are 2 types of lens. They are concave lens and convex lens.
  • As seen in the diagram, the image is highly enlarged.
  • 2F is the length which is equal to twice the focal length.
  • In convex lens, rays pássing parallel to the principal axis will pàss through second principal focus after refraction.
