Answer: Kidney is made of millions of small units called nephron. So we can say that nephron is the structural and functional unit of kidney.
Structure of nephron : Nephron consist of the following parts.
1) Renal corpuscle: Its main function is to remove waste materials from the blood.
2) Renal tubule: Its function is to absorbs calcium, sodium, and chloride from waste substances.
3) Glomerulus: Its function is to remove waste from plasma.
4) Bowman's capsule: It also filtrate the blood.
