The pair of ovaries produces egg or ova. The ovum is much bigger than the sperm .In females a single egg is produced by one of the ovaries every month.The oviducts or fallopian tubes is a muscular tube which joins the ovary with the uterus.The uterus or the womb is the place where the development of the fertilised egg (zygote) takes place and the uterus opens into a muscular tube called vagina that receives the sperms.
